ABOUT THE Live Stream

Get ready for Dog Daze of Summer, a unique live-streamed art auction that combines entertainment, fine art, and pet adoption. Inspired by the Fine Arts Auction Channel, this event features artist spotlights and highlights adoptable pets from Lupa Legacy Animal Rescue.

Bidding opens August 11 through our Galabid platform, registration is required to begin placing bids. Last-chance bids will be open during the live stream on August 23rd and will close at midnight. Proceeds are split between St. Francis Animal Resource Center, Lupa Legacy Animal Rescue, and the artist.

ABOUT St. Francis

St. Francis Animal Resource Center is a nonprofit dedicated to keeping pets in loving homes by providing food, supplies, and low-cost preventative care for low-income families. They offer public pantry deliveries, single and monthly supply drop-offs, and host Laundry Love events with food and pet resources.

About Lupa Legacy

Lupa Legacy Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Oklahoma dedicated to rescuing homeless pets across central Oklahoma. They offer dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens for adoption—all spayed or neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. Their goal is to match every animal with a loving forever home. They rely on foster homes and volunteers to help animals heal and thrive.

SPECIALTY AUCTION ITEMS

“sELF pORTRAIT” BY jAY pAUL aPODACA

One of them being a collection piece--a rare self-portrait by acclaimed Denver-based mixed media painter Jay Paul Apodaca. This piece was contributed by and directly supports Lupa Legacy Animal Rescue!

This piece measures approximately 4ft by 2.5ft and was painted in oil before 2001, this vibrant and expressive piece has remained in a private collection until now. Known for his vivid use of color and modern style, Apodaca studied at RMCAD and has exhibited widely across Denver. With previous works selling for over $7,000, this is a unique opportunity to collect a one-of-a-kind piece while supporting a local rescue.
