Got work you want to talk about? We want to hear it! Uncanny Art House is opening submissions for Selfish Talks, a presentation night held during Selfish Art exhibition from Cody Giles. We are inviting artists and creatives of every discipline to take the floor and speak about their practice, or to highlight specific works from their portfolio, in front of an audience. The goal is to give creators a platform and to introduce more people to the work you are making.
Seven presenters will be selected for the evening, with 4 guest speakers to be announced soon.
How it works
Each presenter gets five minutes to present, followed by five minutes of questions from the audience. We will take a break between presentation sets. Presentations will be delivered using google slides.
What to submit
You do not need a completed presentation to apply. At this stage we only need your idea: who you are, what you want to present, and why. If you are selected, you will have time to build out your presentation before the event.
Key Dates
Idea submission deadline: Friday, August 21
Acceptance notifications sent: Monday, August 24
Presenter lineup and presentation titles announced: Tuesday, August 25
Completed PowerPoint presentations due via e-mail: Wednesday, September 2
Selfish Talks presentation night: Friday, September 4, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Uncanny Art House promotes all featured artists through press, social media, and gallery programming.
