The Stranger Show

The Stranger Show is Uncanny Art House's second virtual exhibition. An exhibition does not have to be a room. A virtual show lets us reach beyond wall space and city limits, and to be introduced to creators whose work we might otherwise never have encountered.

We asked strangers to show us what they make, and they answered from across Oklahoma and beyond. The result is a collection that spans several mediums. There are digital paintings and illustrations, experimental video and animation, fine art photography, poetry woven into collage, a point and click game you can actually play, original music, flow arts, and immersive projects that treat the internet itself as a canvas.

Across the work you will find are strangers dealing with all the things that make us human. Some artists have long exhibition histories, and others are showing their art publicly for the first time. Each section on this page opens onto a single artist, a single piece, and a moment with a stranger. More information and links for each artist can be found in their sections.
