Side by Side

September 12 - september 28, 2025

About the Exhibition

Side by Side brought together two distinct yet harmoniously aligned voices in contemporary Oklahoma painting: Kyle Riggall and ThruMyEyez. Debuting during Norman’s 2nd Friday Art Walk, the exhibition invited viewers into the surreal and vividly personal worlds of two artists whose styles blend bold illustration, dreamlike imagery, and emotional depth. These artist’s met at the previous year’s Art Soup group exhibition and it was a match made in heaven.

Displayed side by side, the work of each artist provided a unique lens into their inner landscapes. Riggall’s layered compositions balanced abstraction with symbolic clarity, while ThruMyEyez presented a visually dynamic collection that leaned into storytelling, identity, and transformation. Together, their pieces created a conversation between contrast and connection, individuality and overlap.

The opening reception featured never-before-seen works and offered early visitors a chance to receive exclusive art giveaways. Light refreshments and an engaging crowd rounded out the evening, making the show a standout moment in Uncanny Art House’s fall calendar.
