ECAB ‘Waters Worth It!’ Student Poster Contest
APRIL 10 - april 12
Uncanny Art House hosted a public showcase of student artwork from the 2026 WATER’S WORTH IT! Poster Contest, presented by the Environmental Control Advisory Board of the City of Norman. Photos by Annie Wymore and JP Epperson.
OPENING RECEPTION
During April Art Walk weekend, community members viewed a vibrant exhibition of posters by Norman elementary students (K–5) exploring water conservation and environmental stewardship.
Guests were invited to scan QR codes that took them directly to a voting site. Each piece of artwork had a unique number pinned to them to make it easy to cast a ballot for their favorite poster.
What made this exhibit so special, was for many young students, it was their first experience having something on display in a gallery. They proudly pointed out their posters and posed for photos in front of them.
Awards & Recognition
Prizes were awarded to both students and teachers, including the Student Awards for top submissions in grade categories, the People’s Choice Award for both the winning student and their teacher, and the Teacher Participation Incentives for early participation and highest classroom engagement.
The Grand Prize Winner had their design featured as the official T-shirt graphic for the City of Norman’s Earth Day Festival.
