Explore observation, storytelling, and expressive mark-making in this Saturday afternoon art class inspired by the work of Rosa Bonheur, designed for students ages 9–12.

This class builds on Bonheur’s detailed animal studies and dynamic compositions to help young artists strengthen drawing skills, visual analysis, and personal expression. Through guided projects and creative problem-solving, students will learn to translate what they see into artwork while developing confidence, focus, and a deeper understanding of artistic process in a supportive, exploratory setting.

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Chelle brings over 25 years of experience teaching children and teens ages 2–18, with a deep love for hands-on artmaking and creative exploration. She is passionate about engaging young artists through arts and crafts, encouraging curiosity, confidence, and joyful experimentation. Her playful, crafty approach creates a welcoming environment where students of all ages can explore materials, express themselves, and have fun making art.
