Join us for the Halloween Jazz Masquerade, a costume party and live performance inside the immersive world of In the Company of Paintings. Featuring music by Butter and the Genre, a five-piece jazz ensemble known for soulful vocals and energetic arrangements, this ticketed event includes a cocktail bar by Scratch Kitchen & Cocktails, curated photo booth, and vintage jazz atmosphere. Dress in 1920s or noir-inspired attire and become part of the environment. Tickets include entry to the performance and full access to the show’s theatrical setting.

This limited edition cocktail is a collaborative effort between artist James M. Bond, Scratch, and Uncanny Art House to show the nature of art and design in one neatly packaged premixed cocktail. James illustrated the image on the label that Uncanny created the packaging around, while Scratch crafted the flavors within. The cocktail will be available by the glass or bottle at the Scratch Speakeasy Bar in their basement and is accompanied by a note from Uncanny that will enable you to purchase a bottle from them. You’ll be able to purchase this cocktail the evening of the masquerade at our catered cash bar.

Proceeds from the Halloween Jazz Masquerade benefit Preservation Oklahoma, the state’s only nonprofit dedicated to protecting historic places. Through advocacy, education, and stewardship of landmarks like the Overholser Mansion, Preservation Oklahoma connects our history to the present and future. Their efforts include publishing Preservation Oklahoma News to highlighting endangered sites and have helped save landmarks like the Mayo Hotel, Skirvin Hotel, and Saline Courthouse.

Butter and the Genre is a five‑piece jazz collective, led by Gregory “Butter” Haubrich on trumpet and featuring the soulful vocals of Calliope Staudt, blends timeless influences like Miles Davis and Ella Fitzgerald with fresh, danceable grooves inspired by Earth, Wind & Fire. Known for their seamless instrumental harmonies and energetic interaction (with every band member also singing), they create a joyous, accessible sound that resonates with seasoned jazz fans and newcomers alike.
