Step inside the surreal world of In Dreams: A David Lynch Tribute for an evening of uncanny laughter and absurd humor. Comedy in the Black Lodge transforms the gallery into a dreamlike stage for three unforgettable performances.
James Nghiem
Known for his rhythmic delivery, comedic experimentation, and odd perspective, allowing him to approach topics from multiple angles and engage audiences in unexpected ways.
James tackles both the everyday and the almost-never with sharp wit. Filled with non sequitur logic, the seemingly random events that shape his act blur the line between silly and profound. His comedy is bizarre, entertaining, lighthearted, and always fun.
He runs the digital comedy label Robot Saves City, has opened for national headlining acts, and has appeared on several comedy podcasts, including No Fun Intended, alongside guests such as Paul F. Tompkins, Maria Bamford, Doug Benson, Kyle Kinane, Todd Barry, and Marc Maron.
The Martin Duprass
This husband-and-wife duo, known for their offbeat characters and DIY comedy, expanded a quarantine-born sketch into a 37-minute satire about internet fame, awkwardness, and social media chaos. They recently premiered their newest short comedy film, Awkward Gawker, at the Oklahoma Film Exchange on October 18. The film features an ensemble of Oklahoma’s outsider comedy scene alongside their signature puppets and eccentric storytelling. True to form, The Martin Duprass continue to build their own wonderfully weird world and will be sharing that creativity with us on January 24th.
Jennifer Johnson
A rising Oklahoma comedian (Reweathering America), Jennifer Johnson’s dry wit and disarming honesty turn everyday experiences into sharp, hilarious observations. Her smart, grounded humor opens the night with just the right balance of warmth and weirdness.
