December 2, 2025 | 5–8 PM
📍 The Depot – 200 S. Jones Ave, Norman, OK 73069
Uncanny Art House is proud to partner with the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition (OVAC), The Depot, and Paseo Arts Association for an evening dedicated to helping artists prepare for exhibitions—accessibly, affordably, and with confidence.
The event begins with in-person artist networking from 5–6 PM, followed by a hands-on workshop that covers everything from framing and installation hardware to business cards, websites, and self-promotion.
As part of the evening, our creative director, Chase Spivey will lead a focused lecture on marketing for artists, sharing key insights into building relationships with galleries and understanding the value of collaborative promotion. Chase will explore how partnering with a gallery or exhibition can amplify an artist’s reach, strengthen professional connections, and generate lasting interest in their work.
A free livestream of the workshop will be available on OVAC’s YouTube channel courtesy of Uncanny Media, making this resource accessible to artists across Oklahoma and beyond. Each partner organization will also share updates on their upcoming applications and artist opportunities.
About This Series
This workshop series is a collaborative effort between creative organizations in the metro, created to strengthen the bridge between artists and the institutions that support their work.
Each organization plays a unique role in Oklahoma’s creative ecosystem from offering exhibition opportunities, educational programs, and community resources. Together, they’ve developed this series to foster greater understanding across the spaces that house artists and the artists themselves.
Ultimately, this series reflects a collective belief: that when artists and art spaces work together with clarity, respect, and shared purpose, the entire creative economy grows stronger.
