Get ready to get cozy. After Rest is an intimate musical experience presented by composer Lauren Sonder that invites the audience to slow down, rest, and imagine what restful spaces can be.
The evening features a candlelit set of original piano music framed by guided discussion at the beginning and end of the performance. Guests are encouraged to experience the music in whatever way feels most supportive, whether lying down or seated comfortably. At the heart of the gathering are two reflective questions: what is a restful space, and what becomes possible when we allow ourselves to rest?
A limited number of floor mats will be provided, along with chairs. Attendees are welcome to bring their own mats, blankets, pillows, or other comfort items to create a personal resting space.
This event offers a gentle, immersive alternative to traditional concerts, centering rest, listening, and shared reflection.
