Art Soup 2.0

november 7 - december 21

Artists and guests mingle together during the November Art Walk opening of Art Soup 2.0 at Uncanny Art Hosue

About the Exhibition

Art Soup 2.0 brought together an expansive mix of artists, ideas, and mediums under one roof at Uncanny Art House during Norman’s November 2nd Friday Art Walk. Featuring more than forty Oklahoma based artists, the exhibition reflected the strength of collective creativity, where painters, photographers, sculptors, illustrators, and mixed media artists shared space without hierarchy. The result was a dense and energetic visual experience that encouraged viewers to move slowly, discover unexpected connections, and appreciate the range of voices shaping the local art scene.

Custom Art soup can

The exhibition title, Art Soup 2.0, draws from the idea of soup season, a time of warmth, nourishment, and comfort during colder months. Just as soup blends many ingredients into something sustaining, this show embraced the idea that art thrives when different mediums, backgrounds, and experience levels are combined. That concept extended beyond metaphor through the production of a custom soup can label created specifically for the exhibition. The label functioned as both a playful collectible and a conceptual anchor, reinforcing the idea that each artist contributes a vital ingredient to the whole. The design takes influence from Annie’s organic brand soup and features exhibiting artists as the ingredients.

The design of the Art Soup 2.0 can was inspired by Annie's Organic Soup brand and features all the artists in the ingredients label

Art Soup 2.0 also set the tone for a season of community focused programming at Uncanny Art House, leading into December’s Punk Rock Santa Flea Market. Together, these events emphasized accessibility, experimentation, and shared celebration. The exhibition stood as a reminder that when artists gather with openness and curiosity, the result is not dilution but depth, a rich, collaborative mix that feeds both creators and audiences alike.
